EVENT REPORT: Coaching entrepreneurs of the future
On January 12, the kick-off of BenCham Young Entrepreneur Platform took place at Dutch Design Workspace (DDWS). On behalf of DDWS, Giel Groothuis, Director of DDWS, first gave a welcome speech to all the guests. The rest of the event was moderated by Philippe Snel, Chairman of the Benelux Chamber of Commerce in China.
BenCham Young Entrepreneur Platform is a mentor program for young entrepreneurs with a dream to make their success in China by starting up their own companies.
Regarding making success in China as a foreigner, Marc van der Chijs is definitely one of the most qualified people to share the stories. This Dutch Internet entrepreneur, who is also the co-founder of Tudou.com, revealed the sweetness and bitterness, DOs and DON’Ts of being an entrepreneur in China with his insightful speech. Thereafter came the highlight of the event – mentees meet mentors. Ideas were exchanged while experience was shared. All the young mentees were eager to learn the most from their mentors or peers. Who knows, maybe tomorrow’s entrepreneurs were right there.
