Since 1st of February DDWS has moved to a brand new location! Since we are all about development we have moved to the up and coming North Bund. Right next to the Shanghai International Cruise Terminal, metro line 12 and the ferry to Pudong. We are very happy with our new well-connected hotspot.

In the past 4 years DDWS has developed an integrated incubation model for the start of creative industry in China. We have assisted over 40 companies with their start in China of which many have opened a permanent office in Shanghai now. We were able to secure several substantial contracts and projects. Off course all in close collaboration with the Dutch Embassy, Consulates and NBSO’s and our key partners from the Netherlands and China.

This year we focus on the business development of our current and future incubation participants. We offer a wide range of customized services, such as Virtual Office, Business Matchmaking and Project Acquisition Support. Based on your needs and phase of development we’ll make the right support package for your company to make your start in China into a success!

Next to this we offer different types of affordable co-working space through our trusted partner network. We can help set up your company in permanent office units at our own location, the 1929 Creative Warehouse.

In close cooperation with the Netherlands Business Support Office Nanjing, DDWS has been able to make some successful client introductions in the past few months. One of these Chinese clients is the company Jiangsu Sainty, based in Nanjing. They are in the process of developing an entirely new international juvenile brand. These type of projects are a perfect match for the dream team of multi disciplinary design firms based at the Dutch Design Workspace. The long-term assignment involves, amongst other projects, creating an exciting new brand concept and developing a whole range of products for kids. BSUR SHANGHAI has completed the first stage of work for the newly founded Dutchi Group. BSUR is specialized in concepting and created the new brand. Next to this they have setup the entire company structure for the new brand in The Netherlands. Well-known industrial design studio Springtime has started with the development of the new series of products. We look forward to see the designs in a shop near us soon. Congratulations to BSUR and Springtime on their new business in China!
