Since its founding by Kees Christiaanse in 1989, KCAP has grown to be one of the leading offices for architecture and urban planning in Europe and Asia.

KCAP’s oeuvre is wide in scope and ranges from complex urban transformations and landscape design to architecture and interiors. KCAP is reputed for realising unique concepts and attractive designs on the fringe between architecture and urbanism. These powerful and outspoken ideas present a social and spatial cohesion, while simultaneously offer the required flexibility to manoeuvre within unpredictable changing circumstances.

KCAP is led by four partners: Han van den Born, Kees Christiaanse, Ruurd Gietema and Irma van Oort; and two directors: Markus Appenzeller and Ute Schneider, and works with an international staff of over 90 professionals.
